SAN JOSE, Calif. – May 12, 2020 – NXP Semiconductors NV (Nasdaq: NXPI) today announced a significant increase in its comprehensive Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) portfolio The number of products and markets that can adopt the latest Wi-Fi standard. NXP’s expanded Wi-Fi 6 portfolio represents the company’s new end-to-end, differentiated technology approach and vision to help usher in an era of connected innovation in the automotive, access, mobile, industrial and IoT markets.

Wi-Fi 6 brings numerous improvements to connectivity, including symmetrical multi-gigabit uploads and downloads, significantly lower latency, increased capacity, and improved power efficiency across applications. Previously, these technological improvements were limited to high-end products. With NXP’s broad product portfolio, large-scale deployments in multiple markets are now taking advantage of these advantages, enabling products with today’s advanced Wi-Fi capabilities, including:
