On the evening of December 28, NIO held the 2019 NIO Day conference, at which the new NIO ES8 was officially released, with a starting price of RMB 468,000 before subsidies. The new ES8 adopts a strong all-aluminum body, and is equipped with a new power combination of a 160-kilowatt permanent magnet motor and a 240-kilowatt induction motor, with a power of 544 horsepower and 725 Nm. Equipped with a new 100 kWh liquid-cooled constant temperature battery pack, the NEDC has a range of up to 580 kilometers.
The new ES8 comes standard with Continental MC6 high-performance tires, Brembo four-piston brake calipers, and Bosch iBooster 2.0 electronically assisted braking system, with a braking distance of 33.8 meters at 100-0km/h. In terms of interior, the new ES8 adopts a 9.8-inch ultra-narrow bezel digital instrument panel and an 11.3-inch high-definition multi-touch central control screen, and is equipped with an AMOLED full-circle screen for NOMI Mate 2.0. The new ES8 has added the 2020 NIO annual color “Antarctic Star Blue”, providing two models with six and seven seats. The starting price before subsidies is RMB 468,000.
At the meeting, NIO released a 100kWh liquid-cooled constant temperature battery pack, which can enable the existing ES6 to last more than 600 kilometers. The one-time upgrade from the existing 70kWh battery pack to a 100kWh battery pack will cost 58,000 yuan, starting in the fourth quarter of 2020. Provide upgrade service.
